Three talented musicians Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman begun in the late 1990’ s a distinctive and multimedia experience of three eccentric Blue Man. Before the show even starts, guests at the Monte Carlo will get an invigorating dose of these three blue performers with a dazzling percussive parade that take place 45 minutes before curtain time. The percussion processional, or Percussipede, is a musical centipede of percussion instruments, musicians, robots and puppets co-created with world-renowned 3-D designer Michael Curry. The vibrant parade will immerse unknowing spectators in the imaginative world of the Blue Man Group, setting the tone for the thrilling experience in store at their show.
The show started off with a bang and this one has no dialog but can make you fall out of your seat in laughter. You can expect some props to include Jell-O, marshmallows, Twinkies, paint, TONS of paper and tubes, and you might also expect some of those props to end up on your lap. The audience participation really made it memorable and had lots of laugh. One of the best major aspects of this show is a collection of instruments, special effects and set pieces that explore the human brain. This is a “concert move” full of instructions that get more and more ridiculous, culminating in immense, illuminated spheres tossed into the audience followed by toilet paper cannons, streamers and fog. Definitely, The Blue Man group is one of those things in life that each penny is worth it!
