By GalaTView staff

The upcoming “Star Wars: Episode VII” cast, Carrie Fisher has confirmed she will indeed dust off the gold bikini, so to speak, and reprise her role as Princess Leia. “Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle” said this famous actress.

Last week, Joan used Adele’s weight as a punch line on The Late Show with David Letterman, and this weekend on The Last Leg, host Adam Hills didn’t let her get away with it.  Adele has conformed several times and has more talent in her pinky finger than Joan has in her entire body. Talent is an indicator of all and doesn’t have size.

Disney wants to make Emma Watson to play the lead role in the studio’s live-action remake of Cinderella. If Watson is successful in getting the role, she will star opposite Cate Blanchett, who has already agreed to play Cinderella’s evil stepmother.

The latest draft of the script was penned by The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz. Hopefully she can be successful in this new role.

Cavalia’s Odysseo, the newest production from Cavalia, has arrived in Burbank since February 27th, the show include 67 stallions and geldings and 44 acrobats, riders and musicians of the acclaimed spectacular, Cavalia’s Odysseo. Cavalia’s Odysseo is a voyage between man and horse to some of the world’s most beautiful locations including the African savannah and desert, the American Southwest, the Northern Lights, enchanted forests, an ice cave and a waterfall. It’ s an amazing show with a 10-story giant tent bigger than a football field. Full of 67 horses and 45 acrobats, riders and musicians perform a theatrical ode to horse and man in front of a video backdrop the size of three IMAX screens.

Odysseo and Cavalia are concepts between humans and horses in the most sophisticated touring show in the world. Founder and artistic director Normand Latourelle show us a spectacular adventure and there are also trick riders…horse running full blast across the stage.

The story takes you around the world, the production using a 200 by 50 foot screen to create different landscapes with 15k square foot stage features a real carousel and an 80 k gallon lake. Definitely this one is majestic and overwhelming due most of the performers are found all of the excitement, joy, happiness and finally satisfaction in the act of their physical achievement. If you are a Cirque lover but not too familiar with horses, this is a must see.  It will turn you on to the power, beauty, grace, and intelligence of the equine animal, while still dazzling you with flying and colors and great live music.

It’s simply wonderful because all the usual human pretentiousness and arrogance that goes with so many equestrian activities is refreshingly missing here. Two thumbs up and again my overwhelming advice: See it!
