Cirque du Soleil’s Luzia unveils a Mexican dreamscape. Luzia takes you to an imaginary Mexico, like in a waking dream, where light quenches the spirit and rain soothes the soul. A clown parachutes into the big top, turns a giant key et voilà: a new world is revealed, one populated by giant butterflies, hoop-jumping hummingbirds and a garden of real marigolds tended to by tin robots. The show lasts for around 2 hr 10 min with a 30 min intermission. Favorite scenes are: the Cyr Wheel, Songs/Pole Dancing, Adagio, and Aerial Straps. Some of the greatest artists have taken inspiration from our bodily functions and is inspired by Mexico and Mexican culture. Nice use of treadmills and computerized waterfall patterns. The contortionist is male this time and he was the most impressive. Definitely is worthy to see not just acrobatics, but also a story with stunning visuals and music.
