Latino Celebrities to Raise Awareness Around Texting and Driving
By GalaTView staff
An important TV channel has launched its ‘Si Texteas No Manejes’ campaign, which aims to create consciousness about the dangers of texting while driving. The campaign includes video messages from stars such as Carlos Baute, Khriz y Angel, Toby Love, and Danny Trejo among many others. The campaign forms part of a goal to educate Hispanic Americans about the issues that impact their daily lives. A recent study done by an important Cell phones Company shows that Hispanic teens 15-19 years old were “much less prone to recognize the dangers of texting while stopped at a red light or glancing at their phone while driving.”
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, in 2012 alone, 3,328 people were killed in distracted driving crashes. The continuing rise in these numbers has taken center stage in the media, and has prompted legislation preventing the use of mobile devices while driving in various states.
The list of participating celebrities also includes: Arcangel, Angelica Castro, Chef Hamlet Garcia, Minerva Borjas, Grupomania, Annabelle Blum, Miguelito, Alexa Vega, Horoscopos de Durango, Agueda Lopez, Pee Wee, Alexis Valdes, Marian de la Fuente, Maffio, Jon Secada, Gaby Acuna, Bonka, Custo Barcelona, Jordi Molla, Kenny Williams, Rigu, JEO Music, Irma Martinez, Manolo Cardona, Roberto Manrique, Siudy Garrido, Tommy Torres, Luis Rollan, Saul Lisazo, Reunion Nortena, Carolina Cruz, Camila Canabal, the cast of the film ‘Pulling Strings’, Omar Chaparro, Jaime Camil, el ex-Menudo Rene Farrait, El Grupo Vena, Marger, Kingz One, and Rodolfo Jimenez.

This show was absolutely fabulous with professional production and amazing skaters who did a great job with their talent. The costumes were gorgeous and the actors were top notch. Disney fans of all ages will enjoy but particularly elementary aged girls. The story lines are heavy on the princesses and bring the necklines up a few inches on the costumes and the quality of sound and wardrobe was awesome. Definitely recommend seeing this show from December 11th to 15th at Staples Center of Los Angeles, CA.
