For many fans of zombies, The Walking Dead 4 Season rewards patience and loyalty in a DVD and Blu-ray and is being released for August 26th with all the original characters Abraham Ford, Eugene Porter, Rosita Espinosa, Bob Stookey, and Lilly, as well as a modified version of the Chambler family from The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor tie-in novel. In general Rick and the group of survivors fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison and all of them have to face hidden dangers brewing inside the fences. This includes few extended episodes, audio commentaries, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage and numerous special features. For many fans of this successful story would have seen it as an over kill of the plot especially with all the bombs, blood and gore you could want even the whole series can be more wretched than the dead, and while executions and beatings can be good fodder, it’s tight, dialogue-heavy scenes like this solidify the nihilistic experience. However for children who are not old enough to say they should not be watching this show especially for those zombies that really have a life left in this story. Definitely is highly recommended for your collection!

You will have a serious raid at home in Blu ray or DVD

Written & Directed by Gareth Evans, The Raid 2 with a great cast Iko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Tio Pakusadewo, Oka Antara, Julie Estelle, Ryuhei Matsuda, Kenichi Endo, Kazuki Kitamura involves a fury fighting with Rama and his way out of a building filled with gangsters and madmen – a fight that left the bodies of police and gangsters alike piled in the halls – rookie Jakarta cop Rama thought it was done and he could resume a normal life. He couldn’t have been more wrong.

A great sequel of action and a new odyssey of violence, bone-crunching force him to set aside his own life and history and take on a new identity as the violent offender “Yuda.” In prison he must gain the confidence of Uco – the son of a prominent gang kingpin – to join the gang himself, laying his own life on the line in a desperate all-or-nothing gambit to bring the whole rotten enterprise to an end. For all fight fans should brace themselves for a bruising, blistering ride even the plot is not the best the main characters show their best fighting skills faster, and more lethal than ever. The most curious characters were the Hammer Girl and Baseball Bat Man deserve a spin-off especially with their fights that are full of dynamite but at the end this movie has to contrasts: a beauty in a modern martial-arts epic and brutality, capturing the art of violence with a great style in all the characters involved. Definitely is an awesome movie full of entertainment and fun which suffers from too much potential. Now is available July 8th on Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD in 150 minutes full of action, bloody sequences with tons of deleted scenes with the original version with the best choreography scenes of some of the  violent scenes. Even is rated R  , this movie has intensive English Language Dolby Digital, Spanish Dolby surround and subtitles in English and Spanish. Definitely must be part of your collection for those who love intense shootings and fights.

You might find raunchy sex in "About Last Night"

By Jenny Alvarez

A typical romantic comedy comes with About Last Night and its contemporary version closely follows new love for two couples as they journey from the bar to the bedroom and are eventually put to the test in the real world. From the director Steve Pink his movie does an awesome job depicting the realities of relationships. Kenvin Hart is so funny and talented. However the crux of the movie centers on the relationship between Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant and it will get you thinking and talking about your relationship if you are in one (the stages you have been in and will go through). The plot is really entertaining and the director did a nice job directing.

Now you can have this great movie in Blu-ray and DVD enjoying hookups and breakups in a funniest manner with special features such as high definition, audio in English, French, Spanish and subtitles with the same languages.

“Pompe II” is falling ash and rocks

By Jenny Alvarez

Pompe II has passion for history and was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, an adept handler of eye-popping 3D spectacle now is available in Blu-ray, DVD including a talented cast and characters and “The Volcanic Eruption-Special Effects.” The film travels back in time to 79 AD. It revolves around Pompeii, an outlying Roman metropolis that is found at the bottom of Mt Vesuvius — a volcanic mountain.

A young boy called Milo (Kit Harington of Game of Thrones) witnesses the slaughter of his tribe at the hands of Roman soldiers, led by Roman commander Corvus (Kiefer Sutherland).  Thus, Milo becomes the sole survivor of a Celtic horse tribe. He is then raised as a slave, and 17 years later, becomes a gladiator who is taken to Pompeii to battle Atticus (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), an African gladiator who is one fight away from earning his freedom.

A movie full of violence and tragedy bit this makes it more realistic and highly entertaining, never boring. Milo and Atticus take on a battalion of Roman soldiers and both are involved in destruction of the place. Interaction between the characters was fine given the length of time between the start of the movie and the eruption of Pompeii. The acting of the cast was well done. The 3-D effect had you brushing volcanic ash out of your hair and the film, it is definitely worth the watch.

A especial day At Middleton in DVD

By Jenny Alvarez

Academy Award® nominees Andy Garcia (Ocean’s 11, City Island) and Vera Farmiga (A&E’s “Bates Motel”, Up in the Air) star as straight-laced George and eccentric Edith, two strangers who meet on their children’s campus tour at the idyllic Middleton College.  Failing comically to connect with their kids, George and Edith play hooky together, ditching the official tour for a carefree adventure reminiscent of their own college years.  But what begins as an afternoon of fun soon becomes a revealing and enlightening experience that will change their lives forever.  Taissa Farmiga (“American Horror Story”), Spencer Lofranco (Jamesy Boy), Peter Riegert (“Dads”), and Tom Skerritt (“Picket Fences”) also star in this story about what can happen on your first day of college.

Definitely this movie has a good eye for visual composition. Both characters make the fictive Middleton in a very pleasant place in which timelessness of youth is a great element in this story. George and Edith, together are perfectly counterbalanced with humor and heart, with good feelings and celebrate all the different life stages full of hope and new phases. This incredible DVD has special features as an audio commentary with Writer/Director Adam Rodgers, Writer/Producer Glenn German and Producer/Actor Andy Garcia in English subtitles for the Deaf & Hearing impaired and Spanish.

Fruitvale Station: A realistic and touching film

By Jenny Alvarez

Filmmaker Ryan Coogler makes his feature directorial debut with this drama centered on the tragic shooting of Oscar Grant (Michael B. Jordan), a vibrant 22-year-old Bay Area father who was senselessly gunned down by BART officers on New Year’s Day in 2009, and whose murder sent shockwaves through the nation after being captured on camera by his fellow passengers. Produced by Academy Award® Winner Forest Whitaker*, Fruitvale Station co-stars Academy Award® winner Octavia Spencer**, Melonie Diaz, and Kevin Durand. An emotionally exploitative in which trust and confidence of many communities and customers deserve a good police force and empowered but in this film an unfair death dramatize Grant’s life during the 24 hours period leading up to his death proves to be more realistic than putting up a documentary that salvages the details. “Fruitvale Station” is “based on a true story” historical dramas that, as narrative fiction, imagine and invent dialogue, details and demeanors of “real” people being portrayed by talented actors. In 85 minutes you will enjoy remarkable performances by Octavia Spencer and Melonie Diaz, and there’s no way we will forget about this film and Oscar die so many times adding many emotions with this fact with a thinkable movie. Now is available in DVD and Blu-ray in English and Spanish languages.

Review by Jenny Alvarez

A classical Hangover of a group of mature actors who make a movie full of surprisingly funny and enjoyable scenes and each character that demonstrates their lifetime’s experience. Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and an entirely captivating Mary Steenburgen — imparting pleasure who are the best friends since childhood. All of them with different personalities so when Billy, the group’s sworn bachelor, finally proposes to his thirty-something (of course) girlfriend, the four head to Las Vegas with a plan to stop acting their age and relive their glory days. In this case their friendship will be tested with different funny, unreality and good laugh facts. Obviously Las Vegas, attempts something more raucous in a special movie which the whole story and plot make it fun and enjoyable. Tom Hanks makes an unforgettable film with Captain Phillips

Review by Jenny Alvarez

Photo: Agency

It is a movie made with a true-life action where not only a riveting drama about quiet heroism but is a man who does extraordinary things in the face of death. The film focuses on the relationship between the Alabama’s commanding officer, Captain Richard Phillips, and the Somali pirate captain, Muse, who takes him hostage. Phillips and Muse are set on an unstoppable collision course when Muse and his crew target Phillips’ unarmed ship; in the ensuing standoff, 145 miles off the Somali coast, both men will find themselves at the mercy of forces beyond their control. Many things make to some characters face twisted “Stayin’ Alive” facts and some dialogues will make you angry and hurt your brain so the director Paul Greengrass is unique due the way he employs all the scenes and his method is as expressive as the style of a superb novelist. All the actors transform in a pirate film in something full of intrigue and despair by Captain Phillips. Now is available in Blu-ray Combo pack and DVD with audio and subtitles in English, French and Spanish subtitles. Two thumbs up for this movie that needs to be part of your home collection.

Do your list as soon as be possible

“The to do list” include cast as Aubrey Plaza, Johnny Simmons, Bill Hader,Alia Shawkat, Sarah Steele, Rachel Bilson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, DonaldGlover, Scott Porter, Andy Samberg, Connie Britton and Clark Gregg, “The To Do List” is a comedy about close friends and a special summer project, loosely inspired by the real-life adventures of first-time writer/director Maggie Carey. Set in 1993, valedictorian Brandy Klark wants to shed her uptight image before college, so she assembles a to do list of all the “activities” she missed out on in high school. Quickly realizing that she’s way out of her depth, Brandy solicits her best friends, older sister and burnt-out boss for their help and advice. If the group is going to complete the list by September they’ll need plenty of imagination and very open minds.

This is a romantic comedy full of raucous moments and fresh ideas and hilarious gags. Many actors have strong comic performances and a decent script so It was incredibly sex positive and you can take it as a good teenagers guide and sometimes as a viewer needs plenty of imagination and very open mind. It has good sequel scenes and photography. Even the plot is a little generic and predictable, if you grew up in the 90s, lots of awesome references would be seen here. Two thumbs up for this incredible movie.
