Meghan Trainor Announces Dates For THE MTRAIN TOUR Launching This Summer

Just as her critically acclaimed, sold out THAT BASS TOUR comes to a close this week, GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum international superstar Meghan Trainor reveals dates for her headline summer jaunt — THE MTRAIN TOUR — supporting her #1 debut album TITLE [Epic Records].
THE MTRAIN TOUR kicks off Friday July 3 at Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey and will make stops in nearly 30 major markets across the country this summer.
Fans continue to recognize her as pop culture trailblazer and dynamic presence. She’s nominated for “Favorite New Artist” and “Song of the Year” for “All About That Bass” at 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards, airing March 28 on Nickelodeon. The next day Sunday, March 29, she will perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, broadcast live on NBC from The Shrine Auditorium. At the ceremony, she’s also nominated in three top categories including “Best New Artist,” “Renegade,“ and “Song of the Year” for “All About That Bass.“
Continuing this incredible streak of success, “All About That Bass” now is six-times Platinum and its follow-up “Lips Are Movin'” went double Platinum, while the THAT BASS TOUR has been receiving unanimous critical praise. This was Trainor‘s very first tour, and each date actually sold out well in advance, proving her status as a live phenomenon.

Nicki Minaj Announces North American Dates For THE PINKPRINT TOUR

GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist and entertainer, Nicki Minaj, announced the North American dates for THE PINKPRINT TOUR. Set to kick off on July 17 in Dallas, Texas at the Gexa Energy Pavilion, the tour will visit cities throughout the U.S. and Canada with stops planned in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago and San Diego. Two of the most successful and critically-acclaimed bands — Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago — announced their North American co-headlining summer CHICAGO AND EARTH, WIND & FIRE – HEART AND SOUL TOUR 2015, kicking off July 15 in Concord, California. The 25-date tour, will take the GRAMMY® Award-winning and multi-platinum selling groups through major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, New York City, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Boston. The tour will conclude Sept. 6 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Avicii debuts new song “Heaven” feat. Chris Martin at future music festival

As reported by Spin, global superstar DJ/producer Avicii debuted his new single, “Heaven” featuring Chris Martin of Coldplay, at Australia’s Future Music Festival. The song will appear on Avicii’s upcoming sophomore studio album, Stories, on PRMD/Island Records. Spin describes the song by saying “it sounds exactly how you’d expect a collaboration between these two to sound.”

– including John Williams’ scores to E.T. and Jaws; Blaxploitation classics like Willie Hutch’s The Mack, J.J. Johnson’s Willie Dynamite, Marvin Gaye’s Trouble Man and the hip-hop-flavored Juice; Oscar® winners such as The Godfather, Silence of the Lambs, Rocky and Good Will Hunting; and cult movies like Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Knights, John Landis’ Animal House, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, Amy Heckerling’s Clueless and Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing.
The rollout got underway on January 20, with the release of Willie Hutch’s classic, much-sampled soundtrack to the 1973 movie The Mack, starring Max Julien and Richard Pryor, which was originally released on Motown, as well as the Spike Lee joint Do the Right Thing, which featured the Public Enemy classic, “Fight the Power.”
On February 3, UMe reissued John Williams’ famed scores to Steven Spielberg’s E.T. and Jaws, along with Oscar® winners like Nino Rota’s The Godfather and Good Will Hunting — which was nominated for Academy Awards® for Danny Elfman’s original music score and for Best Original Song, “Miss Misery,” by the late Elliott Smith. Also on that same date: a rare import picture disc of Quentin Tarantino’s acclaimed Pulp Fiction. On tap for February 10: Marvin Gaye’s Trouble Man; two versions of Nellee Hooper’s BAFTA-award-winning score for Baz Luhrmann’s William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, one in black vinyl and the other blue; and Willie Hutch’s The Mack.
March 10 sees the vinyl releases of the soundtracks to Jonathan Demme’s Oscar®-winning 1991 thriller Silence of the Lambs, composed by Howard Shore, plus Frank Oz’s 1987 film adaptation of the musical Little Shop of Horrors, featuring music by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, earning a Best Original Song nomination for Four Tops lead singer Levi Stubbs as Audrey II’s bawdy “Mean Green Mother From Outer Space.” Also on tap for that date is an import picture disc of the Coen brothers’ 2002 GRAMMY®-winning Album of the Year, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, a multi-platinum hit that also included the Best Male Country Vocal Performance for Ralph Stanley’s “O, Death.” J.J. Johnson’s score to the 1974 blaxploitation film about a New York City pimp who strives to be the tops in the city, Willie Dynamite, comes out on vinyl March 24, while the following week, March 31 sees the release of the double-disc soundtrack to the movie version of Friday Night Lights.
April 14 sees the release of vinyl for Boogie Nights, Paul Thomas Anderson’s classic film about the Golden Age of the adult film industry in the ‘80s in the San Fernando Valley, along with the soundtracks to a pair of party-down cult faves: Car Wash and Animal House.
The soundtracks to Juice and Spike Lee’s retro-R&B School Daze make their vinyl appearances on May 5, followed by Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (highlights include Harry Belafonte’s “Day-O” and Richard Wagner’s “Lohengrin”) and Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky, featuring composer Bill Conti’s Oscar®-nominated Best Original Song “Gonna Fly Now,” on May 12.

The GRAMMY® Award winner Kelly Clarkson announced her 2015 PIECE BY PIECE TOUR. The 36-city tour will start on July 11 in Hershey, Pennsylvania and culminate on Sept. 20 in Camden, New Jersey. Joining Kelly on the tour will be recent GRAMMY® winners Pentatonix and singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson.

Madonna's 35 City 'Rebel Heart' Tour Announced For North America and Europe

The list of Madonna concert dates for her highly anticipated 35-city ‘Rebel Heart’ Tour were officially announced scheduled for August 29 in Miami, Florida. Additional performances to follow include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Vancouver, Montreal and several other cities including San Juan, Puerto Rico. Following the North American leg of the ‘Rebel Heart’ Tour, Madonna will begin the UK/European series of dates on November 4 in Koln, Germany with stops in major cities including Barcelona, London, Paris and Glasgow amongst others.

Multi-platinum selling recording artist Bryan Adams will be plugging in once again and hitting the road with his full band in April to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his iconic rock album, Reckless. The RECKLESS 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR will kick off on April 11 in Houston, Texas at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, before hitting cities throughout the U.S., including New York City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas and more.
