Gotye is making his SNL performance on the world-renowned comedy show this Saturday, April 14–right before his Coachella dates. Gotye’s video “Somebody That I Used To Know” has become a viral sensation. Wouter “Wally” De Backer (stage name Gotye) is an Austrialian musician and songwriter, who has strong love for the arts and will be performing in Coachella. Gotye is somebody that we all definitely know.

Worshippers in cities nationwide were wearing hoodies to church services Sunday to honor Trayvon Martin, a Florida teenager shot to death last month by a neighborhood watch volunteer. Trayvon was wearing a hoodie when he was killed February 26 as he walked back to his father’s fiancee’s house in Sanford, Florida, after a trip to a convenience store. Police say he was unarmed, carrying a bag of Skittles candy and an iced tea; he was shot by George Zimmerman. Zimmerman has not been charged. Hoodie marches are expected Sunday in cities across the country

These special fan screening are being presented exclusively in RealD 3D and will be held in the following cities: Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Dallas, Boston, Phoenix, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, San Diego, Denver, Sacramento, Orlando, Tampa, Minneapolis, Montreal, Vancouver, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Baltimore, Portland, Kansas City, West Palm Beach, Raleigh, San Antonio, Hartford, Charlotte, San Antonio, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Austin, Edmonton, Milwaukee, Norfolk, Grand Rapids, Calgary, Columbus, Fresno, Ottawa, Cincinnati, Nashville, Indianapolis, Jacksonville and Oklahoma City. The re-release of Titanic also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic setting sail on April 10, 1912. Written, directed and produced by James Cameron, this movie is the second highest grossing movie of all time. It is one of only three films to have received a record 11 Academy Awards® including Best Picture and Best Director; and launched the careers of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

Trayvon Martin, 17,  was shot in Florida by a neighborhood watch volunteer. Young Martin was carrying an ice tea drink and a bag of skittles. His parents and teachers have stated that he was a good kid, who played sports and did well in school. Martin was an African American boy and the community has stated that this was an act of racial profiling. Obama stated “I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americas are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves and we will get to the bottom of exactly what happened,” he said. And he obliquely addressed the racial component of the case, saying it struck home for him because, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”.
