People respond to Gaddafi's Death

By GalaTView Staff

Actually most reasonable people think that both situations are very troubling but the tragic results of the Iraq invasion are already in. If the US can avoid making the same awful self-serving mistakes in Libya that they did in Iraq then that would be a start but they should not have been there in the first place.

The US said they should do it in an “open and transparent manner”. The UN called for a full investigation, after video footage showed Col Gaddafi captured alive and then dead.

His burial has been delayed with officials divided about what to do with the body.

A coroner in the city of Misrata is expected to carry out a post-mortem.

The alliance’s Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, said that as the mission winds down.

One more time, the American people didn’t authorize the use of military force. However, congress did. What’s sad is that some people don’t seem to know how these things work.

Dawson was a winner in the second-round

By GalaTView Staff

In a stunning ruling, challenger Chad Dawson was declared the winner and new WBC light heavyweight champion on a controversial second-round decision when Bernard Hopkins apparently dislocated his shoulder and could not go on, though he said afterwards he could’ve continued to fight with one arm. Thus, Dawson won the fight and the 46-year-old Hopkins as well as Dawson were furious over what happened.

And referee Pat Russell left the Los Angeles Staples Center without offering his opinion about what happened.

Hopkins was looking to extend his record as the oldest major champion in boxing history, but left as boos rained down on him while he was being interviewed in the ring following the decision.

Unless the California Boxing Commission overturns the decision, Hopkins (52-6-2) loses for the first time since falling to Joe Calzaghe in April 2008.

Dawson (31-1, 18 KOs), was angry after the fight and said he wants to fight Jean Pascal next.

Hopkins beat Pascal in May to take the title and become boxing’s oldest Major World Champion.
