Jackson Trial Continues Day 5

Dr. Richelle Cooper was the doctor who pronounced Michael Jackson dead at UCLA Medical Center on June 25, 2009. She took the stand and added that she felt comfortable pronouncing him dead earlier when she was on radio communication, but Murray claimed her felt a pulse.
Murray, Jackson’s personal doctor at the time, is on trial for involuntary manslaughter in connection with Jackson’s death. Prosecutors allege that he gave Jackson a fatal dose of the sedative propofol and that he failed to seek help quickly enough when Jackson became non-responsive.
Like the paramedics who testified last week, Cooper said Murray never mentioned to her that he gave Jackson propofol. On cross examination, however, she said that information would not have altered her treatment of Jackson or the result.

The Jackson Trial Continues Day 4

Dr. Richelle Cooper made it clear in court today that when Michael Jackson arrived to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center he had signs of a dying heart.
Dr. Cooper stated that Murray informed him of Jackson’s arrest came after he gave him two doses of Lorazepam, a sedative, Cooper testified.
He did not mention any other drugs, including propofol, which the coroner ruled played a major role in Jackson’s death.
Prosecutors argue Murray, who was Jackson’s personal physician as he prepared for planned comeback concerts, was criminally responsible for his death because of medical negligence and his reckless use of the surgical anesthetic propofol to help the pop icon sleep.
The coroner ruled that Jackson’s June 25, 2009, death was the result of “acute propofol intoxication” in combination with sedatives.

Jackson Trial Day 3

A disturbing picture of Michael Jackson in the hospital was shown as well as audio recordings of Jackson slurring his words were demonstrated in the court room. Jackson’s security guard Alvarez took the stand and he explained how Dr. Murray asked to hide the I.V bag
Alvarez says Dr. Conrad Murray grabbed a handful of vials from a nightstand next to the bed and told him to put them in a bag. He says he was instructed to call 911 once these vials and bottles were collected.
He also demonstrated on a diagram where he saw a “milky white substance” at the bottom of an I.V. bag in the bedroom.
