Mark Henn and his Magical Disney Characters
Mark Henn and his Magical Disney Characters
When young Simba hopelessly watched his father’s fall into the stampede, the audience lamented with Simba. Simba’s unforgettable and emotional reaction was animated by Mark Henn, in 1994. Henn animated Simba’s emotions, unique personality, and physical features. He successfully did the same for other legendary Disney animations.
He created beloved characters such as Jasmine in “Aladdin”, Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”, Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”, and many more magical characters. “Each character has a unique personality and role… It was challenging but as young animators we were taught to observe the world around us, personalities, mannerisms, and memorize things,” stated Henn when asked about his inspiration to create characters. It is no doubt that Henn’s animated characters resemble his own friendly and humble personality. Henn spoke passionately about his animations and when asked who was his favorite character, he said he could not choose because it was “like choosing your favorite child”.
Henn’s more recent project is his contribution to the animated film “Winnie the Pooh”. This project was lighter because he built on characters that were already created. He worked with “Winnie the Pooh” and “Christopher Robin”.
Henn recently attended the premier of the “The Lion King” released in 3D. This new 3D version allows new generations to follow the touching story of Simba and meet Henn’s magical characters into an unforgettable journey.
Prepare your vehicle for fall

(NewsUSA) – In many parts of the country, the leaves have started to fall, and parents have sent their children back to school. Before the weather takes a turn, Firestone Complete Auto Care would like to offer the following car maintenance tips to get vehicles ready for the damp, cold road ahead.
Take your vehicle for a full check up. As the fall weather rolls in, it’s important to have the following items checked by a professional: battery cables and terminals, belts and hoses, air filters, windshield wipers and all fluids, including anti-freeze, oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid, automatic transmission fluid and windshield washer fluid.
Take a good look at your tires. Are there signs of uneven tread wear? That could indicate under-inflation, unbalanced tires or misaligned wheels. Remember to check your tire pressure with a gauge at least once a month and regularly inspect the tread depth. Your tread will be even more important during the autumn months when wet, dead leaves cover the roadways.
Take care of your lights and turn signals. Fall, along with less favorable weather, also means it’s time to turn the clocks back for daylight savings. With a shorter day comes a longer night, so be sure your headlights, taillights and turn signals are in proper working order and shining at the appropriate levels.
Talk to your teenager. Have a teenager in the house? Worried about all the driving they will be doing during the fall? You can’t teen-proof your neighborhood, but you can talk to your teen about safe driving before they head to school. Teens Drive Smart, a teen driver safety initiative from Bridgestone Americas, the parent company to Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC, which owns and operates Firestone Complete Auto Care, has tips and resources for parents to help start a conversation with their teens about smart driving. Visit www.TeensDriveSmart.com for more information.
Remember, not only can taking these small steps keep your vehicle running newer, longer, but they can also help keep you and your family safe on the road.
Helpful Tips for Picking the Perfect Engagement Ring
By GalaTView Staff

(NewsUSA) Your fiancée will wear her engagement ring every day for the rest of her life, so choosing the perfect ring is crucial.
How do you know if you are buying the right ring? Follow these simple tips from the experts at Jewelry Information Center, a non-profit trade association that has offered consumers information about fine jewelry for over 60 years:
-Look at her existing jewelry wardrobe. The jewelry your partner has will give you hints about her personal style. If she owns a lot of sterling silver or white gold, then she is a cool-metal person, making a white gold, platinum or palladium ring an ideal choice. If she has more yellow metals, then she is a warm-metal woman, so stick to yellow gold or rose gold.
-Figure out her personal style. Does your fiancée-to-be like traditional or non-traditional designs? If she prefers bold and funky jewelry, she probably doesn’t want a very classic engagement ring.
-Pay attention. Note her reaction to other women’s engagement rings. You can discover her clear preferences that way.
-When in doubt, ask one of her friends. Find a trustworthy friend who knows her style. He or she will be able to get a lot of information that you can’t obtain without sounding suspicious.
-Shop with her. Couples often shop together for their engagement rings and wedding bands. Want to surprise her? Narrow down the selection between two or three rings so she won’t know exactly which one she will receive. Then plan the date, location and a memorable style.
-Shop with a reputable jeweler. At the end of the day, where you shop is the most important factor. Shop with a jeweler you trust who will walk you through the process.
-Make note of the exchange or return policy. If she would still prefer a different ring, you will need to make sure you can exchange it.
