Andrew Neyman (Milles Teller) is an ambitious young jazz drummer, single-minded in his pursuit to rise to the top of the east coast music conservatory. Plagued by the failed writing career of his father, Andrew hungers day and night to become one of the greats. Terence Fletcher (J.K. Simmons), an instructor equally known for his teaching talents as for his terrifying methods, leads the top jazz ensemble in the school. Fletcher discovers Andrew and transfers the aspiring drummer into his band, forever changing the young man’s life. Andrew’s passion to achieve perfection quickly spirals into obsession, as his ruthless teacher continues to push him to the brink of both his ability – and his sanity. During 1 hr. 46 min, this great Director and writer Damien Chazelle shows a tremendous with excellent psychological intensity in the main characters especially when some experience becomes in wisdom for certain talents. Especially when Andrew is a dedicated student with big dreams of becoming one of the greatest jazz drummers but J.K. Simmons demands the best effort even in some moments looks like disharmony in each other. In few words is a well structured movie drama with intensity, vulnerability, and depth in feelings and ambition. Good ambience and locations but the best part is the background music. Definitely is a mind game and a film that reflects our way in life.

Their highest charting single was “Push th’ Little Daisies” released in 1992 which gained them widespread attention and hit the charts.
Pussy Riot in Russia Get Arrested
The female punk band Pussy Riot walk into a Russian cathedral and yell “Virgin Mary drive Putin away!” They are wearing neon masks and have their guitars ready to rock. The band criticizes Russia’s president and played an unauthorized show in a cathedral. Three of the band members got arrested. This is not the first time these women cause controversy in Russia. The band performed on top of a prison and on Red Square in Moscow, the capital. Their performances on YouTube attract hundreds of thousands of views. After the arrest, punk rockers in cities as far away as San Francisco put on public performances in solidarity with the group. Pussy Riot, in its own controversial way, has become a symbol of the protest movement in Russia.
Youth Protest Against Lady Gaga
Protesters from a group named Biblemode Youth Philippines took the streets of Manila to rally against Gaga. Lady Gaga is currently in Asia for her tour, but has had similar incidents where this part of the world finds her music to be offensive for the religious youth. The young protesters are calling for the cancellation of the pop star’s concerts in the majority Roman Catholic country. “She declared a distorted view toward Jesus Christ and for us Biblical Christians it is offensive,” protest leader Ruben Abante stated to AP. “Her music and everything about her is different from what our values are.” In South Korea, authorities banned people under 18 to attend her concert. Authorities in the Philippines approve of Gaga performing in their country, but they ask that she stays away from any nudity or lewd conduct.
