The battle for the Iron Throne will make a stop at Salt Lake Comic Con’s FanXperience

Salt Lake Comic Con FanXperience (FanX) will be a Lannister affair with “Kingslayer” Nikolaj Coster-Waldau from Game of Thrones making his first United States comic con appearance outside of San Diego at FanX on January 29, 2015 and January 31, 2015 only.

Coster-Waldau is best known for his role as Jaime Lannister on HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin’s best selling fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire. He’s also starred in Mama, New Amsterdam, Oblivion and Black Hawk Down.
“Game of Thrones is a fan favorite and we’re excited to have Nikolaj join us,” said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con Founder and Show Producer. “Nikolaj does such a good job of being the villain, and his character’s journey throughout the show has made him a fan favorite that people love and hate all at once. I know our fans will be excited to meet him to see if they can get the inside scoop on the upcoming season 5 of Game of Thrones, which will begin in the late Spring of 2015.”
Game of Thrones, currently the top fantasy show on television, is set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and documents the many wars and battles for control of the Iron Throne. The Lannister family is led by the wealthy Lord Tywin Lannister, who uses his vast wealth to control his family, friends and everyone else he can in his quest to gain control of the Iron Throne.
