During 95 minutes, most people will love this movie even it would be a romance for seniors but this reflects something different. All begins with a widow in her seventies, who discovers that life can begin anew at any age. After the death of her beloved dog, Carol (Blythe Danner) finds the everyday activities that have given her life structure – her regular bridge game, gardening, a glass of wine or two – have lost their luster. With the support of three loyal girlfriends (June Squibb, Rhea Perlman, and Mary Kay Place), Carol decides to embrace the world, embarking on an unlikely friendship with her pool maintenance man (Martin Starr), pursuing a new love interest (Sam Elliott), and reconnecting with her daughter (Malin Akerman).
Danner (Meet the Parents) heads up a star-studded cast that includes Martin Starr (“Silicon Valley” ), June Squibb (Nebraska), Rhea Perlman (“Cheers”), Mary Kay Place (The Big Chill), with Malin Akerman (“The Comeback”) and Sam Elliott (“Justified,”), in a gently humorous and deeply touching look at life, loss, and love that bridges generations.
The film is directed by Brett Haley (The New Year) from a screenplay by Haley and Marc Basch. Sam Elliott plays a romantic interest for Blythe Danner, who portrays a former singer in this film but his role is fill up her days with something different, both main roles got laughs out of the audience with merely a glance and make their characters human with happiness and sadness in the way that life is. Definitely is a genuine and effective film for believers and faithful viewers to real love.

“October Gale” is a story about a couple warily exploring their growing bond under extreme circumstances.Writer-director Ruba Nadda has received critical acclaim for character-driven dramas such as SABAH and CAIRO TIME (winner of Best Canadian Feature Film at the 2009 Festival). In this film, she brings her astute psychological insight to bear on an intimate, suspenseful thriller. It’s a gloomy movie, about people who are grieving over their respective tragedies. The best scenes involve realistic fiction that was meant to be artsy and romantic. The plot develops in a great and picturesque scenery. Despite the first scary moments, all the performers did a majestic work with their characters and for 1 hr., 31 mins. you will enjoy the performance of each member of the cast Patricia Clarkson, Scott Speedman, Tim Roth and more.

“La Sapienza” tells a love story that develops amid architecture, tempered emotions and artistic inspiration. The title of the film refers to one of the most extraordinary projects completed by Francesco Borromini: the Church of St. Yves at in Rome. During 1 hr. 40 min. the essence of humane urbanity and the relationships involved all the characters- Alexandre (Dardennes regular Fabrizio Rongione),Lavinia (Arianna Nastro), Goffredo (Ludovico Succio).
The most interesting part of this incredible film is most of the characters don’t exchange looks and move very rigidly, like some kind of concept theatre. They talk directly to the camera, avoiding each other.
This film definitely is full of detailed costume design, captured with its appropriately bright cinematography, “La Sapienza” is a chance for Eugène Green to offer a tour of his two favorite subjects: the French language and the art of the baroque period. At the end, Green balances heart and mind as an unique film full of visual values and knowledge.
